On December 2, 2010, FIFA declared that Qatar will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, carrying the world’s most esteemed competition to the Center East for the first time in tournament’s 92-year history. Qatar won the honor to have the World Cup on the fourth polling form, beating Australia, Japan, South Korea, and the US.

Brief About FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar

A total of 64 matches will be played between November 20 and December 18 in Eight state-of-the-art stadiums in Qatar. 

Approximately 1.2 million fans are expected to visit the country during the tournament. As per our sources 2.89 million tickets have been sold so far. 

The 2022 World Cup is the first in the tournament’s 92-year history to be played in November and December. The previous 21 editions were played between late May and the end of July.

FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony 2022

The opening ceremony is set to be conducted on November 20 at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, north of the capital of Doha.

The first game of the tournament will be played between Qatar and Ecuador, after opening ceremony.

FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony 2022

The tournament final will take place on December 18, Qatar’s National Day.
